Run Buddy Run Nike+ Challenge:

In the spirit of WE RUN, Nike will launch the Run Buddy Run Nike+ Challenge to celebrate the motivational aspect of running with a buddy! Running has long been referred to as a personal endeavour, but despite the individual nature of the sport, running is an intensely communal pursuit too. The Run Buddy Run Nike+ Challenge takes on the idea of run clubs, training groups and community to broaden the appeal of physical running into the virtual world. Driven through Nike Running Philippines Facebook page and the Nike+ platform, the challenge will see pairs of run buddies race it out to win a VIP Race Day Experience at the We Run Manila 10K, and other Nike prizes.

Challenge mechanics below:
1. Visit Nike Running Philippines Facebook page at www.facebook.com/NikeRunningPH and check out the WE RUN MANILA 10K tab.
2. Click on RUN BUDDY RUN and sign up with your run buddy.
3. Once you’ve joined the challenge with your run buddy, lace up your running shoes and hit the road!
4. Sync your KMs to Nike+ and follow the daily leader board updates on the Nike Running Philippines Facebook page.

  4. Ang haba ng pila kaninang 1pm dahil sa dami ng nag-claim at nagkaroon rin ng system glitches. Pero nung maayos ang glitch, bumilis-bilis na ang pagkuha. Nice kit.

  8. para sakin, di ko na ppakelaman ung bib no. na nakaprint sa tee ko, mapalitan lang size…aanhin ko bib no. kung wala nman ako isusuot, ung receptionist kasi sa nike,mali ang ibinigay na size samin, tatlo tuloy kami maliliit ang tee size…tsk..sana pde mapalitan..

  10. bakit ganon ung sample nila ng small tee sa shangri-la malaki ang size, kaya pinili ko ang small size, pero ung nakuha ko na racekit ko maliit ng ung size ng small tee,,, bakit ganon???

  11. Got my racekit at noon..I chose 2XL sa online reg kasi ganun lagi ang size ko & It hasn’t failed me until kanina…surprisingly wearable naman for me, comfy.though I think XL will also do..baka may gusto makipagswap.

    Ang arte kanina nila..ayaw pumayag magpapalit ng sizes.Obvious naman na hindi lahat ng tao sasakto ang hula sa size nya especially I don’t recall them posting a sizing chart or advisory na medyo malalaki ang sizes.Siguro they thought everybody knew their sizes…sheeeezh..mag isip naman sana kayo.Illusyon yun.

    At around 1pm the customer service advises na bumalik uli ng THU para makapagpalit ng size..hassle naman yun.midweek na nga to kanina then THU uli.wah..Although, someone posted na parang pumayag na sila nung hapon ng swap. Kung totoo yunge sayang at nakauwi na ako.

  14. i got myself a Medium shirt. hopefully it fits well but reviewing the sizing chart seems that I am Small. will be checking it out tomorrow. if it doesn’t fit well, might as have it changed. if not possible, gotta find myself a kind soul to have my M swapped to S

  15. At past 4pm yesterday, their redemption system was smooth-flowing. However, as most of you noticed, the shirt sizes, especially for men, are quite smaller than those available in store. They had me fill-up a form for change in size request. Pero hassle kasi they would send an SMS daw should there be an available shirt (the size I requested). I was also advised by a person from the customer service that during the race day, size swapping is allowed (they will have a booth I guess). Medyo malabo yung instructions, and again, hassle, and this is not verified. You guys might want to ask when you get there today. Try going there at around 4-6pm, walang pila. :)

  17. @Barefootdaves: I registered for a friend of mine, and I got Small-sized shirt for him. I am awaiting the advice of the Nike Staff whether I can swap today, I wanted to swap for a bigger size, say Medium. In any case, would you be interested to swap with me? I guess the race number printed on the shirt is immaterial, it doesn’t match the D-Tag number anyway. Let me know, in case.

  22. I was there at 12 noon, October 11.

    Collecting the race kit here on it’s first day was an epic failure. Compared to collecting from Adidas which was very smooth. It took me less than 5 minutes with Adidas, compared to 1 hour and 46 minutes with Nike.

    DISAPPOINTING.

  23. @bulas, jaym: Iba mgcclaim ng racekit ko eh, bukas pa daw. Pinapatry ko muna palitan sa customer service daw pwede. If not, saka na lang ako makikipagtrade. Pero I prefer small pa rin eh, kaya dapat pala kay ketch0p ako makipagtrade. So…paging ketchop, search ko mamaya [email protected], ito din ba sa fb? Mamaya ko pa check, bawal dito sa work fb eh, ito lang pwede buksan.^_^

Posting this as of the moment here in BGC as per advise ng Nike claiming will start at 11 a.m. that’s why inagahan namin ng friend ko ang pagpunta tapos around 11 a.m. palang sila nagseset up and per advise 12 pa daw ang kuhaan so I went to adidas muna sa NBC tent to get my KOTR stuff and wala pang 3 minutes I got it na. tapos pagbalik dito marami na ring nakapila knowing na 11 am yung claiming ang sagot ba naman ng mga taga NIKE “Nagparty kasi kami kagabi kaya napuyat” marami ng nagrereklamo dito about the delay and may mga galing pa ng province na hindi makapagclaim dahil walang authrorization letter. well just an update of what’s happening sa claiming ng Nike.

    i’m keen on having it swapped with the shirt that you have. mukhang malabo pa kung pwede na mapapalitan ung size. just spoke to a friend over the phone and they are also trying to have theirs exchanged as well (XS -> S)

  37. Balewala yung bib no. (though it’s not really a bib) printed on the shirt. Iba ang nasa D-Tag. Looks like Nike wasn’t able to make the personalized shirt idea possible. Excited pa naman sana ako dun.

    We were one of the early registrants. I thought reserved na ang mga sizes. The fact that the rules strictly states that you will be disqualified if you’re not wearing their race tee. I was surprised when I claimed my race kit, ubos na raw ang small. Eh, yun ang nakalagay na size ko sa database nila.

    Good thing maliit nga ang sizes so, medyo suwerte ako kesa sa inyo kasi medium na ang binigay sa akin. Blessing in disguise pero hindi parin tama. We went to Nike Park after at may nakita akong running shirts na ang small sa isang design ang kasing laki ng medium ng ibang design. So, hindi pala talaga consistent ang mga sizes ng Nike.

  41. I think yung pinafill-up nilang piece of paper na request for size change eh ipinagtatapon lang nila soon as you turn your back from the counter. This guy named Greg during the first day just made excuses about no provision about size swap and if ever daw may darating pa from singapore by thursday, dun daw kukunin yung pangswap…kaso baka daw WE RUN SG tee yun heheh..sus.Sarap sampalin sana nung guy.hehe.

    I also asked them kung sa race day baka dun na lang pwede magpaswap with them kung meron kasi hassle ng going back on THU..they said wala na daw ganun sa race day..maybe the runners should just put up a SWAPPING booth ourselves a fewhours prior to gunstart..Btw, I got 2XL..wearable pa din for me naman. Pero as Ive said before, this is the first time for me selecting 2XL has failed.medyo malaki ng konti.

    Sa KOTR, when I claimed, less than 5 minutes..aircon pa!

    Men’s Health’s Urbanathlon is another great event. Incidentally, it coincides with Run United 3. :( So maybe, the crowd will be split. Sana mag-change ng schedule either of the events. Anyway, it’s either one or the other. Let’s just enjoy whatever race we chose. :)

  49. @Jaym, bulas, kechop: Malabo na ata ang palitan ng shirt, maliliit daw pala yung sizes compared dun sa sample which means baka sakto lang sa akin yung Large, although I have yet to claim the racekit. Bahala na si Lord, pag malaki or maliit, dun na lang ang palitan sa race day.

  55. Hey guys, you may correct me if i’m wrong. I recall having our Shirts and dtags scanned during the claiming. This means those codes are assigned to our respective names. It’s for this reason that I think swapping of shirt may not be a good idea. Baka magkagulo pag hanapan na ng race results. Unless you have your own timing device.

  56. Let us pray for a nice weather on Saturday. Humble observation: If Nike prepared actual race shirts on their In-store registration, I believe that problem in shirt sizing will be lessen. May be for those who register on-line might faced problems with regards on sizing. But for those who register In store (like me), no reason for us to complain with regards to the size.

  62. usually when i join run, singlet i prefer is large for men. since nike will be giving out a tshirt, i opted for extra large. akalain mo ba namang XXL ang binigay sakin, at wala ng palitan kasi printed ung bib number.

  64. Guys; Ok na ako sa Medium size shirt, buti yun talaga ang binigay kasi wala na daw Large. If ever naman, pwede talaga magpapalit ng kahapon, dinidiscourage lang talaga nila para less abala on their part (style ba!). Pero pag makulit ka give in din sila, hehehe. Napalitan nga yung sa mga ka-buddy kong’ girls. Sa male sizes naman, kung ano na lang ang available nila which are Small and Medium na lang.

D-tag ksi ang importante andun ang pangalan nyo nka reg…sa mga magpapalit,siguro try nyo nlang on race day ng mas maaga,bka magkaroon sila ng booth dun for changing ng sizes..have faith guys! kita kits sa sabaday!

    Claiming of the race kit, I believe, is still at High Street (only). You might wanna call either RUNNR or Nike Park at Bonifacio High Street to check whether the booth is still there. :) I wanted to help you by calling them but their line gets busy and keeps dropping.

  73. I called Nike Park at High Street. They said that the booth for claiming of the race kit has closed yesterday. However, they will be setting up a booth near the Starting line tomorrow. For those who have not claimed their kits, just come early nalang daw. :/

    2nd day kami nakakuha nang racepack and astig talaga maganda at organize sila may free foot analysis though nainis ako dun sa crew na parang pinipilit niya or rather convince niya ako na large na lang na size kunin ko then ilang beses din ako nagpumilit na medium ang nasa reg form ko at sabi ko anung sense na di agad nakuha upon registration at shirt then may date for claim tapos di naman yun mismong size ang makukuha mo? i won kasi humanap siya nang medium
    at eto ang napansin ko at feeling ko yun nga ang nangyari first day nang pagclaim nagkagulo and sabi mismo ni kuya maraming nagshift from large to medium gawa nga nang malaki daw ang mga sizes so baka nga nagkaubusan nang medium at puro large na natira ( sana kasi nung reg period may mga sample sizes talaga though sa shangrila may sample na drifit shirt na same daw nung gagamitin )
    di ako nagrereklamo yun lang napansin ko hehehe
    overall bow ako sa nike sobrang fun claiming pa lang nang racekit yan ha sana sa mismong event mas bonga

  91. guys sabi ng friend ko from nike almost 600 pa daw hindi nagclaim ng kit so magtatayo pa sila ng booth later so sa mga hindi pa nakakuha ng kit punta nalang kayo dun para magclaim ng kit..

  96. @Disay: Not really. You should have squeezed your way out of the walking crowd. Siyempre puro mga pasosyal kasali dun kaya hanggang lakad lang sila. Yun ngang’ si Rovelson Fernandez na malaking tao at galing pa sa huli eh nakisingit lang din at naghabol, he must have clocked under 1hr pa rin.
