  5. @icecream:)

pero ayaw namin maging ganun ka payat, iba ang training nila, kaya magaling sila sa running pero d nila kaya pag triathlon, kasi kami not only running we do a lot of activities kaya d kami masyadong concentrate sa running.:)

  6. yeah right! sobrang tinipid ang HSBC fun run, malaki ang registration eh kahit conolation man lang eh di nagbigay.

At sana International runners will be allowed to join the higher category lang. yaan nyo sila maglaban-laban doon. Sa HSBC fun run kasi, 2 men and 2 women ang sumali na international runners, eh di sinakop na lahat ng first price sa 5k at 10k run. eh kugn sa 10k lang sila lahat, doon an magkaalaman.

  7. @Jerome Allan
my experience with them during HSBC wasn’t really good. i was literally arguing with the people manning the finishers kit to fix their distribution. sabihan ba naman ako na pumila ako. long distance runners got penalized. swerte nila at hindi sumikat ang araw kundi nasunog lahat ng mga runners

i ran my 10k as fast as i can tapos pagka-haba habang pila ang inabutan ko. ung tubig sa finish line eh hindi ko na nakita. bukod sa natakpan na mga tao na nakapila eh nasa labas pa ito ng railings. uhaw na uhaw ako at hindi malaman kung paano makakainom agad. buti na lang me dala akong tubig. paano na ung iba?

if you want to enjoy this event better join their 3k or 5k lang para mauna tayo sa finish line

just check ask other participants and you’d get a similar sentiment.

  8. @Pseudo Barefoot Runner & Beb
Ugh! I just want to run naman e pero if safety is compromised, never mind then. Its a long travel from Sta. Rosa & the least organizers can do is to treat their runners right after that physical demand. After all, yung natakbo naman ang hanapbuhay nila. I almost run that HSBC event pa naman. Was it a good thing I missed it? Looks like. Thanks for the info. Apat pa naman sana kaming tatakbo.

  9. @Jerome,
if pep squad will do a good job here, sa next run na lang nila ako sasali. medyo sablay ung magkasunod na events nila

  10. that reg fee is so high 1,000 that to much for a runner to pay for… can you post the design of singlet finisher t-shirt and medal ty

  11. I hope they will do a good job here. It took me hours to get my finishers kit. So I hope this time di na maulit yun nangyari sa HSBC.

  12. oopsss…scary to ah…pangit ang reviews sa org.ng run na ‘to..and +1 kay pseudo sa lahat ba naman ng mabibitin ka eh TUBIG pa after finishing the race!?!hahaha

  13. yes, right, Runrio is a lot more organized than PEP squad. di na kelangan pumila sa baggage counter at sa finishers kit booths kasi bawat category may kanya-kanyang both at di lang iisa, kund 2 or 3 per category ang mga booths.

correct! sobrang mahal ang 1k registration fee. its not worth to join!

  14. I had just joined the BGC fun run last November 27, organized by Runrio. It was worth the run! P400 lang registration fee for 3k, P500 naman sa 5k. And take note, wala na ung mga international runners doon, kaya lahat ng nanalo puro Filipino.

    Next time join ako ulit!

by the way maganda ba sinklet nito?

  16. my belated comment to HSBC 135 which can be your reference to a pepsquad organized event (this email i sent to pepsquad)… as I was in receipt of pepsquad’s invite to do ING 20 and in fact I did register for 20k

Hello and thanks for the invite to this run.

I think you were also the one who organized the HSBC run. The race results were obtained in a high tech manner, however, the run itself was poorly organized. I am still registering though because of the perks for a 20km run.
My observations on HSBC which you could improve on for the ING run, I mean come on your clients are multinationals doing great runs in other countries you should do better…

strategic positioning of hydration stations, you probably didn’t do an actual run on the route to know which side the runners would be running on, your stations, at least 3 of them for the 10k run which I did, were on the opposite side and such a waste of time if I have to unnecessarily go there losing precious seconds, i was so dehydrated during the run expecting some isotonic drink at the finish line and there was NONE
i was badly injured and could not regain my momentum on that first turn-around where you only had 1 marshall to cater to runners na nagmamadali and nagkabuhol buhol the yarn necklace, it was already on the road and while running at a speed of 10km per hour at the least I had to make a full stop to bend down and pick up that F*&King yarn necklace, it hurt my muscles pretty bad and from then on I slowed down, it was the worst finish I ever had
any energy food/drink should be distributed at the finish line or if there must be a booth, it must have a reasonable ratio of distributors vis-a-vis runners, or categorized into distance ran by the runner, fyi, the minerals from these food/drink are better absorbed within the first 15minutes after the run. For the HSBC run you gave us purified water despite loss of mineral salts and the distribution area for water had no proper directional signs. Worse, there were no isotonic drinks, i mean come on, your registration was expensive for you not to afford to give a drink or maybe bargain with your sponsors.

Loot distribution, I finished in 68 minutes more or less but you let me line up (standing up) for the loot for another 110 minutes, waiting time for the loot was longer than my run….when I got to the booth you only had Large size shirts, your bibs should have indicated the size of the shirts for claiming the size of the shirts so there is no size bargaining…I am 48kilos yet I got a large shirt, yeah big deal for me and yes the banana I got only after 2 hours….as mentioned minerals from food/drinks are better absorbed during the first 15 minutes after the run.

Please get inspiration from coach Rio’s events … that’s called professional

    Now I paid 1000 for ING 20, I hope I get my money’s worth

  17. SO SCRARY!!!! this saturday na ang ING run!IM AFRAID FOR PEPSQUAD! sana ayusin nila ang logistics, distribution of lootbags was the WORST last HSBC run!!!

  18. to PepSquad: Daming negative comments about you so I hope you are reading all of these. This ING run I think will make or break you. I’m joining this so I hope everything gets better.

  19. hi angel, yes you are correct!!! sana mag imporove na ang PEPsquad. Wait and see ako what will happen tomorrow! if still the same.

  20. Badtrip tong run na to…

  21. disaster run! Daming naligaw! Pag pep squad talaga and galing sa kapalpakan! DISASTER TALAGA!

  22. Disaster talaga ito! Akala namin nasa 5K kami.

He was also directed by a marshall on a wrong way. sabi niya may mga orgaizers daw dun na nagsisigawan kasi mali mali nga. And this is the first time I ran na sobrang dilim nung unang first 2km ko.. I ran for 10k
